Aston University will be circulating information from USS on how scheme members can provide feedback, with links to enable online responses from Monday 16 March. We would encourage members to read the document attached to this post because it provides information that may help responses to each of the online questions.

Annual General Meeting: Tuesday 27th January at 1.00pm in MB161

Nomination forms for serving as an Aston UCU branch officer or committee member are attached to this news item. Please return them to Mike Kirkman before the 27th if possible. And, most importantly, don't forget to attend the AGM because there are some very important issues to discuss.

End of year news and announcement of the AGM

This is the last communication of the year but an important one. On a national level, and with good support from our branch, we have managed to force the employers back to the negotiating table again over the proposed USS changes. This has only happened through sustained action by the union, which utterly depends on the membership (us) to back it up. 17,000 members signed the USS petition demanding a fair pension and we hope you were one of them.
